Christmas 2017

Can you even believe in the blink of an eye, Christmas is over? Like what?

It has been such a good Christmas, especially with the snow fall Northamptonshire got… and my SNOW DAY (fist pump). I’ll give you a run down of what I got for who, and what I received!

Before buying though, I made sure I was tracking all my purchases from Quidco. My family berate me for this site, as they can’t believe you get money for buying items you were already going to buy. IT’S NOT A SCAM! Genuinely, I’ve earned about £30 cashback just for Christmas presents this year. It may not seem a lot, but as opposed to getting nothing, I think its genuis!

Mother In Law

We decided to put together a hamper. I found one for £5.99 in B&M which included the cellophane, ribbon and straw. We bought;

  • Givenchy perfume
  • Jasper Conran pyjamas
  • Matalan dressing gown
  • Galaxy chocolate
  • Jamie Olivers 5 Ingredients cook book
  • Osprey’s purse.

I wrapped all the presents individually before placing them inside the hamper. My god, who knew placing presents could be a logistical NIGHTMARE.

Sister In Law

Again, we decided to make a hamper. The effect of a hamper, is so much more intriguing than just a bag of presents I found. We bought;

  • Chloe Perfume
  • Galaxy Chocolate
  • Jasper Conran pyjamas
  • Matalan dressing gown
  • Tasting set of Edward’s Gin

My uncle is so much more tricky to buy for! He is my mums twin, and it is also his birthday on Christmas Day. Jesus Christ, it’s a long process deliberating which present should be a birthday present and which presents should be for Christmas!

We decided to create ANOTHER, yes another hamper, because I got Hamper Happy. This time we created a food hamper, of all his favourite things from M&S. This ranged from coconut cookies, to Chai tea.

My uncle asked for an oven mitt for Christmas from my mother, so you can see how difficult this was going to be.

We ended up purchasing a Formula One book, a Berksha jumper and some ASOS cufflinks.

Now, I have 3 sisters and 1 brother. We are SO different its a joke, so this year we decided to do a secret santa instead. I got my littlest sister who I see most days, so it worked out well for me. She must want for everything in the world, so I bought her a top she wanted from Glamorous @ ASOS and a leopard print ASOS belt.

Because there are 5 of us children, I always think we can’t get her enough. I’m the organiser of the children gift wise so I just fire ideas out. This year I was particularly proud of our Christmas and Birthday haul! I bought navy wrapping paper from Paper chase as it just looked dreamy!

  • DKNY perfume
  • Tickets to ‘Some Mother Do Ave Em’
  • Earrings
  • Assortment of jam & tea
  • Slippers
  • Candle
  • Sweets
  • Estee Lauder face cream
  • Boux Avenue Pyjamas

  • Personalised print of her cat and tortoises
  • COS top
  • Earrings
  • Fruit Marzipan
  • COS Necklace

I absolutely LOVE buying things for Sean. I, myself, love surprises so I rarely tell anyone what I want, because I will drop subtle hints throughout the year of items that take my fancy. When I write it out like this, it sounds like some sadistic game, but genuinely it’s because I like surprises…

I like to think outside the box for Seany. I do rate myself on present giving for him, because I always manage to buy him things he would never realise for himself. This year was quite hard because I’m running out of things to get him now!

  • Calvin Klein socks
  • Armani boxers
  • Fred Perry Shirt
  • Nike Trainers
  • Harry Potter Slippers
  • Ladybird Book – The Sickie
  • Nike Tracksuit
  • Dell Laptop

Classic hashtags for me but #spoilt #luckygirl #boydidgood. My family did buy me everything I could want which was so lovely. I got

  • Trip to NY
  • Many a jumper for my expanding waistline (and it’s not a baby)
  • Square Pillows
  • Earrings galore
  • Neutrogena Electrical Face Mask
  • Dresses
  • Vouchers
  • Thigh high boots
  • Converse
  • Perfume
  • A hell of a lot of chocolate

Luther (My Bulldog)

I nearly forgot my little chubby baby!! I got him

  • Mince pies (for dogs)
  • Squeaky duck
  • Squeaky cracker
  • Two new Christmas jumpers
  • A Radio (mum bought him it as she says she feels sad for him when there’s no noise in the house when we’re out!)
  • A hind chew/treats
  • Durable toy

Obviously Christmas is about family and friends…. (food)… and presents are just part of that. You could spend any amounts on presents but it is genuinely the thought that counts. I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas and wish you everything you want for New Year!

Lots of love x
